The Dorothy C. McLaughlin Library and Research Room was named and dedicated for the founder of the Museum of Women's History, Dorothy C. McLaughlin.  The Library and Research Room contains hundreds of books, videos, artifacts, and archives. The Museum of Women's History submits copies of its records to the Montana Historical Society and to the Library of Congress.

Books

There are hundreds of books located in the Museum library.  Among the books are personal histories documented in booklets, papers, diaries, and photo collections.

Research Room

The Research Room is available to groups who want to get together for studying, meetings, or other activities.  One member of the Board of Directors must be present at the gathering.  For more information or to make arrangements, contact the Museum's office at (406) 248-2015.

Videos
Dorothy McLaughlin donated over 100 video tapes to the Museum archives.  The videos are interviews of hundreds of life stories, gathered from the Museum of Women's History interviews and the Wisdom of the Ages programs.  The videos document the lives of over 100 women, some who've achieved immense success and others whose success has been exemplified in less visible ways.    This is an on-going project.
